Where do I Begin?

Let’s start with one cup of coffee

We believe listening to people is the best way to design and create active places.

No matter if you are a large company, a small business, a dynamic agency, a unique eatery, or trying to make a home for your family – we will walk with you every step of the way.

What Does Hiring An Architect Cost?

Licenses, Insurance,
& Permits

For The People Projects is fully licensed and insured. We carry General Liability, Errors and Ommissions, Worker’s Compensation insurance. Our employees are members of the American Institute of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and either carry or are in pursuit of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accreditation.

We can help you obtain all the necessary licenses and permits for your project. Whether you require building permits, Conditional Use Permits or a Certificate of Occupancy, or even if you have no idea what you are going to need.

How can we be helpful in the process?

By communicating, and being an active participant in the design process.

What can we do to help keep our project on target in time and budget?

We will have a process where we set deadlines for the different stages of the design, and we will provide budget numbers at each stage of the design to verify we are on budget.

How would you describe the anticipated degree of disruption in our lives created by the construction process?

It depends on the project specifics. It may be disruptive. Depending on how you would like to handle the construction, we can attempt to phase the construction so that you can continue to live/work in the area during construction.

What are you fee structures and what may we expect in costs?

I will provide a structured fee in a proposal soon after the structural engineer has a chance to analyze site specifics.

Are there ways in which you structure your fees?

Usually I use a combination price per square foot fees and an hourly rate for the amount of time I expect to spend on the project. I use these two numbers to act as a check and balance to verify my proposed fee is reasonable for the project.
