Placity

For the People Projects

What is Placity?

Placity provides online building code analysis, based on your business plan, to give accurate building code requirements for your business. Placity gives you the information you need to understand how well your business plan fits into a building before you commit.

As an architecture firm, we have seen many commercial clients commit to spaces before getting an architect to weigh in on how the space affects the business’s ability to fulfill its business plan.

Too often the business is required to reduce patron capacity – reducing revenue, extend construction timeline – delaying opening, increase start-up capital needs, or in some cases not opening at all.

Our goal with Placity is to make building code analysis more accessible to businesses when they need it the most.

Making It Easier For Businesses To Find The Right Place In Any City Across The US.

Who is Placity for?

Placity is for any business owner in the planning stages of opening a new brick and mortar location. Placity is especially useful for companies who are opening their first location, growing into a larger location, expanding, or starting a new venture.

Placity reports are perfect for Commercial Real Estate Brokers who want to efficiently identify potential locations for their clients, and be knowledgeable about how much construction is needed to fit their clients’ goals.

Placity reports are valuable for property management companies who need to provide preliminary building code analysis for space planning for potential tenants.

Why Placity?

Placity Fills The Gap

Brokers and Agents are trained to know Zoning Codes, not Building Codes.

Architects know building codes, but…architects are not brought in at the beginning because there is no space to work with.

Here lies the gap in services:
Business owners don’t know what their space needs are until they get the building code analysis… and they can’t get the building code analysis until they have a space to analyze.

How do I get started?

Gather your business plan. Make a list of every space you need for your business to function. You don’t have to include restrooms, but do include break rooms, employee lounges, and storage spaces.

Create an account with Placity

Fill in your list of spaces, the activities that happen in the spaces, and the number of people you need in each space.

Once you have listed every space and submit your form, we will review your business to make sure it is a fit for Placity. There are some businesses that require special attention. If your business fits that category, we will contact you to discuss how we can provide you with a complete report.

Once we have confirmed your business is a fit for a placity report, we will complete your transaction. Once you have received your confirmation, we will complete your report within 24 business hours (three working days).
